Hello,

I just got these message from the project:
GPUGRID:Notice from server
NVIDIA GPU: Upgrade to the latest driver to process tasks using your computer's GPU
23/01/2013 19:17:27

when I do that (did it a few months ago) my systems runs in error with the GPU stuff (freezes screen, or stopped with the WU).
The card is a GTX285.
Why am I getting this message?

Thanks

Answering with only a link (which I have myself) is not answering my question.

Not much to go on saying as your systems are hidden, you haven't mentioned your Boinc settings, the driver you use, your GPUGrid preferences or Boinc version and didn't list the first page of Boinc's Event Log.

HOW TO - Ask for Help

I suggest you only select to run the Normal length tasks, as the Long tasks would take > a day on your GPU and would be prone to failures. A 301.42 driver should be sufficient for CUDA4.2 tasks, however an earlier driver (285) would allow you to run 3.1 tasks, which run better on older GPU's. I don't know how long the 3.1 application will remain in use, but it's only available in the Normal length queue. At the present time the project is Beta testing a new application, so there isn't much work.
