Sorry, I'm sure we can't give credits for erroneous results. Otherwise everyone could program a BOINC client which returns results after a few seconds and tells the server "well, sorry it's an error, but I worked some hundreds of hours on this.. so please give me the credits!".

I'm not saying you'd be doing this, it's just an example why this can't be allowed. If you allow it there will be people exploiting it.

The subject of this topic is very suitable for me...

I am trying to find a working combination of BM and nVidia driver on Win 7 x64.

I stil got now good result. But if in any other cases errors camу after a couple hours of processing, now I have very strange case (but maybe someone met it before...):

Result 1192587
Result 1192648 and
Result 1192668

are exited after a several seconds, and Windows returned a message about crashing of acemd*.exe.

BOINC Manager - 6.6.36. nVidia driver - 182.50.

What's wrong, mother.....?!

p.s. I am using Driver Sweeper every time...

p.p.s. 'will try now newer versions of BM.... But my hope will die soon....

if it was me, i would unistall boinc, manually delete the boinc data folder, and program folder to see that if a fresh files of everything would clear it out. but thats just me.

And if it was me, I would re-install the whole OS to check whether it will solve the problem... ;-)

Anyway, thanx for your humble advice, I will try it right now. But what is exactly your suggestion for nVidia driver's version for me to use?

p.s. have tried it now - BM 6.6.36 (standart), nVidia driver 182.50 (recommended somewhere here, AFAIK); here it is.

Well... After COMPLETE BOINC re-installation (6.6.36 x64) and sweep-installation of 190.62 videodriver I've got this error after 5+ hours of computation. Have no idea, what does it mean.

I'll try another one WU, but I've reached a daily quota... You know...

The GTX260's don't work any more. The 182.50 driver which seems to be the last version that does work is cuda 2.1. The message "feature is not yet implemented." that you get is telling you that the driver doesn't support those cuda commands.

The minimum app version seems to be with cuda 2.2 or 2.3 (depending on what driver version you have installed). This means you need to have 185.xx drivers at a minimum, but they don't work with the GTX260. Use the GTX260 for something else in the mean time. Hopefully nVidia will work it out and release a new driver version that does work with the GTX260's in due course.

Strangely enough some of the GTX260 are still working, even with 190 drivers. Otherwise you're right, though :/
Rabinovich, the error you're getting with 192.62 is just the "classical GTX260 fft error".

Which BM? I've read that there's a BM.exe which is a known piece of malware; also, some HP machines have a piece of keyboard extras software called the Button Manager. I suppose you could call the BOINC manager a BM also. Though some bathroom-minded people are likely to have something rather different in mind (i.e, not software at all)....

By the way, I'm using a GeForce 9800 GT under 64-bit Vista SP2 with BOINC 6.6.36, but with a 190.38 driver.
