Saw this today: I asked the same thing of the Seti optimizers. Their answer was that the new stuff was a bit faster on newer (Fermi based) cards but a bit slower on the older cards (GTX295 etc). I am not sure it that was the new optimizing compiler or the (currently beta) driver. We assume the drivers are waiting on the GTX6xx cards being released some time this quarter. Generally I wait for a driver to become WHQL certified before updating. ____________ BOINC blog | |
