I've suggested this to BOINC itself and I think it some projects use it, but most do not.

Pages are not easy to navigate from one section to the next. For example to check messages and then your account to view results etc, you need to go to the bottom of the page and then to the main page. Too many pages even in my account end up at a dead end requiing extra click to get back to my account.

Some kind of simple quick menu would suffice having at least these three items:

PS3GRID Main Page | Your Account | Message Boards

These links need to appear at the bottom of every page in place of the single 'Return to PS3GRID main page' link.

Better yet would be some kind of menu links at the top of every page.

---

Additionally the main page I find not laid out as well as it could be. Frequently need links to my account / forum and help desk, etc are down the page, always requiring scrolling to get to.

I have done some changes on the front page. How would you simplify the right menu? Which are the link that are never really used (for instance other statistics)? I would like to reduce it to the minimum.

Now "Returning participants" points to formula BOINC, hmmm...

In my opinion the "Your Account" should be the first one in a block of links, like most other projects handle it. You can put it to the category "Returning participants".

Milkyway uses the links as Keith suggested it, and it speeds up moving through the page a lot :)

Personally I use the following the most, probably every day.
Forum and Help Desk
Your Account

I use these some, at least once a week
Server Status
Top Teams
Top Participants
Applications

The other I use less, once a month
Top Hosts

I rarely use:
Create of join a team << Already created a team
Create an account << Already did that
About Us << already read that once or twice
Research Jobs.. << Not my field of expertise
Select language << English is just fine, But once someone selects language, little need to change.

The page looks somewhat better, but the 'links' are down on the page, not visible unless page is scrolled down. After reading the forum, I have only one choice at the bottom of forum page that takes me back to main page. Then the links are down somewhere on the page, requiring scrolling down to get to. For users, we do this a lot, read the forum, check the results of our computer, check where our team is positioned, and so on. It just takes a lot of extra clicks and scrolling pages to navigate from one section to the other.

I have done what I could with the project specific setting. The little menu cannot be put on the banner in a clean way.

That's a good start ;)

At the top and bottom of pages will surely make it easier to navigate, thanks.

My only suggestion now would be to add a space in front of this, the PS3GRID is against the window border, a space would make it look nicer and a little easier to see.

While your working on this,

This line has reappered:

If you have a question or problem, please use the Questions & answers area instead of the Message boards.

Since we have a combined forum and no separate q&a forum, it needs to be removed. I guess one of the updates stuck it back in.
