If you have a titan or gtx780 please use these latest drivers from nvidia which fix an important bug.

Titan/780 drivers:
- Linux 325.15 http://bit.ly/13Qq4kf
- Windows 326.41 http://bit.ly/13k1Ajc

Are people reporting positive results? Mine crashed with these drivers on the beta queue.

Mine did too. I have two Titans running those drivers and two WUs failed when I tried them last night (beta queue).

We have tested the drivers locally and they work fine.
The problem is now in the boinc application, a new beta is now out to test.

It's for Linux only at the moment.

Indeed.

Edit: gdf, are you saying we need boinc 7.2.5 or..... What exactly?

Thanks for your continued work on this issue.

I regret to report that the beta apps are crashing after a few seconds on my GTX Titan on Win 7 64bit SP1.

The nVidia beta driver 326.41 is installed, DP mode was off. The first two results this afternoon were with the current stock client 7.0.64 (64bit):

http://www.gpugrid.net/result.php?resultid=7155372
http://www.gpugrid.net/result.php?resultid=7155381

The last three results were with the new Alpha BOINC client 7.2.11 (64bit):

A favour - can someone with 32bit Windows XP have a look for a file called "nvml.dll" on their system, please? If you have it, please PM me.

Ta,

Ta,

MJH

I've had a look round various machines, looking for both the DLL itself and the compressed NVML.DL_ distribution version in the unpacked driver installer folders - as described in this blog:

http://programminggpus.wordpress.com/2012/10/29/missing-nvml-dll-when-running-a-cuda-program/

It's present on both my 64-bit machines - desktop and laptop (using the mobile GPU drivers) - but it is not present in any form on any 32-bit machine: to answer the direct WinXP question, it's not on host 43404: but it's also not on a Win7/32-bit machine which has been running CUDA - with multiple driver updates - for over four years.

There is now a new Windows beta app, 7.01. Please report how it works on 780s and Titans.

I set up my Titan for beta only, got this error:
8/18/2013 7:14:01 PM | GPUGRID | Giving up on download of acemd.702.exe: permanent HTTP error

After that failed, just response:
8/18/2013 7:17:20 PM | GPUGRID | No tasks are available for ACEMD beta version

I'll leave the computer in the beta queue for for now, so it should download wu's when something comes available.

EDIT:

Direct URL for acemd.702.exe download in browser gives:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /PS3GRID/download/acemd.702.exe on this server.

Nope, doesn't seem to work. I can get 701 from the path but not 702, no permission.

Thanks, the executable download works now.

The computer is in queue if there will be wu's available, says none available atm. The earlier wu's probably errored out because of the download failure.

Good news, I've had 1 completed task:

<core_client_version>7.0.64</core_client_version>
<![CDATA[
<stderr_txt>
# Time per step (avg over 25000 steps): 1.796 ms
# Approximate elapsed time for entire WU: 44.911 s
13:20:36 (4016): called boinc_finish

</stderr_txt>
]]>

Bad news, the rest crashed in the same manner as before. Load up to about 3 sec, and WU fails.
