Another question would be,"is there any automatic notification from GPUGRID if your processing work become part of anything? How would the average cruncher know if their work becomes useful?

Welcome Toy. If you click on the Volunteers link at the top of this page you can find some of that info towards the bottom.

Could use a little more information than what is provided under the Volunteers tab, any additional thoughts or information would be most welcome.

A quick question with respect to the average amount of credit accumulated prior to inclusion in a scientific publication. I've noticed that those with papers backing their crunching have over a hundred million GPUGRID credits; roughly speaking how many credits are required before a person has a chance of being included as a credit to the processing of research used in a paper? Scientific papers doesn't produced on a daily basis, so you have to be patient until you'll receive your first scientific paper badge, however you'll receive such a badge regardless of the level of your contribution (only its color will be different depending on the level of contribution) Are those members with scientific papers ascribed to their name members who have actually contributed papers or rather members who have contributed processing time to the data used in a paper? The latter one. Another question would be,"is there any automatic notification from GPUGRID if your processing work become part of anything? How would the average cruncher know if their work becomes useful? If you receive credit, then your work is useful. It's that simple.

You're second comment was helpful indeed mate, I'm in it for the long haul; I literally just finished dropping in the third GTX 770 into the system. I'm 5k deep into the Boinc program, I'm not credit centered, I am science centered and just really excited to see my work turn into something.
